ABOUT THE MUSIC BOX TIME PROJECT

If you opened a Music Box "Time Capsule" in 20-30-70 years, what essential songs or pieces of music should be included?  Any generation, any genre, any era, any style!

NOTE: This is NOT a project spawned from "Spotify Time Capsule".  There's similarly named playlists and projects floating on Spotify and Internet. MusicBoxTime Playlist on Spotify matches this website MusicBoxTime.com. The intention didn't start out to make a Spotify Playlist, but it's SO great RIGHT NOW to be able to share and listen to all the songs sent in!  WOW!  While we're SO grateful for Spotify,  INTERESTING DISCOVERY: Spotify Shuffle (basic or smart) picks songs or artists "IT" thinks you prefer from a playlist and repeats them and may even add random songs not in the original playlist and shuffle them in. To remedy that, this  MusicBoxTime Playlist has been and may continue to be mixed up a bit more intentionally, to get a variety if played in the posted order. This allows you to control a stop-start or skip when you want, or to hear the whole thing WITHOUT the App changing, repeating or choosing for you.  BACK TO ESSENTIAL... Perhaps there's one element of a song that's essential. Perhaps it's a song that directly affects the mind or soul, proposes a deeper, or brighter perspective into another soul, inspires intellect, emotions of hope or peace; one that transcends a mood, reasons with our humanity and compassion to love more, or take action to go out and do something good for somebody else's heart. OR, as it is with a great deal of music, moves you toward a feeling encompassing alot of those elements, and together they're too profound and complex to put into words. For added dimension, we're using QUINTESSENTIAL (thanks DW!) meaning among the most perfect or unique in the ESSENTIAL category.  We are fortunate to coexist with so much phenomenal music. You can easily find the songs referenced on Spotify or other public platforms.  If looking for lyrics, it appears random people copy lyrics only guessing what the words are, so be sure to go to the real source. Feel free to add a few words what your songs have meant to you. Comments and thoughts will be scattered throughout the pages or in the BLOG section at the end. NO names will be published.
